چکیده

Objective: To evaluate in vitro erosive effect of analgesics on primary tooth enamel. Material and Methods: The pH the titratable acidity measurements medicines were performed triplicate using a digital meter. Enamel slabs teeth flat polished selected by initial surface microhardness analysis. Medications specimens assigned into five groups (n=12): Dalsy; Magnopyrol; Paracetamol; Tylenol; distilled water (negative control). Specimens immersed 5 ml each group solution for 30 min, 4x/day three days stored artificial saliva at 37 °C between immersions night. Final was determined. data submitted to Oneway ANOVA Tukey's test. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis group. Results: Medicines showed acidic mean values ranged from 1.46 11.66 0.1N NaOH. mineral loss Magnopyrol statistically significant relation control (p<0.01). higher when compared Tylenol (p<0.05). SEM images displayed microstructure alterations Paracetamol Conclusion: Despite low values, only greater enamel softening. demonstrated morphological changes

In vitro erosive effect of pediatric medicines on deciduous tooth enamel.

This study evaluated, in vitro, the erosive potential of pediatric liquid medicines in primary tooth enamel, depending on the exposure time. Sixty deciduous incisors were randomly assigned to 4 groups (n=15), according to the immersion solutions: guaifenesin; ferrous sulfate; salbutamol sulfate and artificial saliva. The immersion cycles in the medicines were undertaken under a 1-min agitation,...
